What is an act of goodwill really worth?
A woman with an otherworldly warmth boards a train at London Bridge and sees a man in red trousers. Yolande Cox knows he needs her help, even if he doesn’t, leading to a fleeting moment that quietly sets nine extraordinary months into action.
Mr. Walker is about to close the biggest deal of his life. But his boss has other ideas.
Dr. Simon Stroud is deep in therapy, slipping further into darkness, until the lights go out and the world seems different.
Marge Clifford is alone. Her husband is gone, her stepdaughter estranged. But this Christmas won’t go the way she planned.
Four lives. Four turning points.
Each one drawn toward the Queen Elizabeth II hospital, where a quiet thread connects them all – and proves just how the smallest encounters can echo the furthest.
Tales of Goodwill is a collection of quietly unassuming but equally magical stories about connection, kindness, and the moments that change us, sometimes without us even noticing.
The story behind the book I’ve been sat on for seven years.
“It started around 2014, when I was living in a place birthed directly from the Men Behaving Badly crypt, just three or four shades worse, with four decent but fairly messy fellas in Peckham, London.”
“The font is Trinite No. 2, and the lettering is large enough to make you feel like you’re a pro reader, skimming through the pages like you’ve been promised biscuits for doing so, a very deliberate design feature.”

I’m delighted to announce that Tales of Goodwill is finally making its way into the world — in a beautifully crafted, extremely limited print edition available from December 1 2025.
Printed in Amsterdam using high-quality recycled materials and shipped from Lisbon, this first run is small, independent, and entirely self-funded — a proper labour of love.
For readers in the UK and EU, copies are available for £30 / €30 (including postage and packaging).
To secure yours, simply email tswalton86@gmail.com to arrange payment. Once everything’s confirmed, your book will be sent with a personalised note and set off on its pilgrimage through the postal system.
I know the price is higher than a typical novella, but this project has been created with care, intention, and the best sustainable materials I could get my hands on.
Make this Christmas a little warmer — bring the season of goodwill into your home.
From December 1 2025, Tales of Goodwill will also be released digitally, with each story appearing behind a paywall on my Substack throughout the month.
The chapters will be published in stages — beginning with The Man in Red Trousers — so readers can experience the collection as it unfolds.
Access to the paywall costs £7.50 / €7.50, and every paid subscriber will receive a full PDF edition of the book on January 1, 2026, so you won’t need to keep the subscription active once December ends unless you want to.
Then, from January 1, 2026, Tales of Goodwill will be available globally on Amazon Kindle, with full details to follow.
